I must admit there are times when questions like this particular one gives me pause, or even shock. But I will say it gives me more insight to how people from different cultures think. I believe the religion part is the most confusing, since the Islam people use rhetoric and confusion to answer questions. It seems most religions are cooperative; whereas the Muslims want to taunt and even send insulting e-mails. I have kept many of the e-mails and can share them on request. If this is an example of a viable religion, I really don't see it.

It has given me a great distraction during a VERY stressful time of life.

Getting a handful of best answers was a small ego boost, something the parent of teens can use.

Many of the questions have been interesting conversation starters with my teens.

And, for all my self-esteem issues, YA proves that there are people who are more than willing to let the internet world know that they are sick, twisted and tacky. At least I have enough self-control not to type anything crude or disgusting on a website that is frequented by teens and even younger kids.

I'm glad it has helped you, I hope it continues to do so.

Yahoo Answers, while entertaining at times, has only reassured my faith in mankind. People still care about the common good; and well, some are just here for the points.

I like to think I'm helping people too. I also feel smart when I get chosen for best answer at times and I get a good laugh on here sometimes. There are dumb questions though.

Yahoo! Answers has not helped me in the least. In fact, I find that reading some of the stupid questions and filth that some people submit in here has turned me into an angry and intollerant person! But it's fun anyway!! :)

Y! Answers has helped me greatly, and I really appreciate what people here have done for me. This place is indispensable for non-English speakers like me. We can ask native English speakers the meanings of slang expressions and colloquialisms for free! I also thank them for their patience to read my awkward English sentences with many grammatical mistakes. I love you all!

It gives you a place to ask live people questions that are hard to ask them to their face. I love to know about cultures and how it feels to be within that culture and why people within groups do what they do. Not because I want to judge it, I'm just intrigued by people, I guess. But it would be hard to ask people those questions unless you really knew them, but here I can ask a namless, faceless person.

I get great personal satisfaction in helping others. It takes up a lot of my time that I used to spend watching home decorating shows.
