My husband and I are beginning to ttc and want to know which way is best to conceive. I am using a lh level ovulation predictor kit. It says that we need to have intercourse no sooner than 24hrs and no later than 48hrs after my lh surge. I have also been charting my cycle for a few months and know around when I ovulate. Should we have sex every other day from day 12-17 of my cycle or should we wait for the kit's prediction and then try. Does anyone know if these kits are accurate?

I'm not sure about these kits. My doctor said that I should have to worry about using these kits till after 6 months of having difficulty conceiving. I do know that my doctor said it is better to have intercourse every other day to allow the sperm to build up. New sperm isn't as potent as older sperm, you've got to give them a little time to build up before trying again. My husband and I are currently trying every other day during the whole month. This may get old after awhile and you may want to just do that around the time that you may be ovulating.

From my 7 pregnacies, I would say 14 days after your period HAVE SEX. If U really want it that bad, start on your 12th day, and do it a couple of times a day 4 up to 7 to10 days. Remember sperm could last up to 7 days in U. So I say the more the merrier!

I had a kit and it was WRONG! I gave up and just started having sex every two days! THAT WORKED BETTER! I am now 9 weeks! GOOD LUCK!

I would say going natural is way better than strict timing which would put you in much more anxiety. So next time my dh and I will try bd every other day around O date. Best of luck.

The best advice I can give you is to remain lying on your back after intercourse, for at least one hour. (I used to nap for at least two), raise your legs with a pillow and relax. The more you try to control the process the less successful it becomes, because you stress yourself.

Good Luck

If your hubby's sperm count is normal then sex every day--if it's abnormal or you don't know then have sex ever OTHER day. Also, try to hit the day after you get the pos. opl.
