Yes, just as it is possible for compusive drinkers, druggers, shoppers, shoplifters, smokers to change their behaviors. It is difficult and requires a lifelong commitment to oneself.

Habitual liars tell the truth all the time. The problem is that they also lie all the time and you can never be sure which one it is. Therefore, always assume they are liars. And no..they can not change. Its like asking you not to be you anymore.

Habitual lying means that there's an underlying psychological problem. Unfortunately, psychological problems are rarely something we are willing to admit to ourselves, so it's almost always necessary to seek professional help. But, when there is a will, there is a way. If a person sincerely wants to change, good therapist can help him do that.

Yes. It is possible for change to happen if the person realizes that they have a problem and they start working to change it. In a case of a person who habitually lies, it might also be good for them to be in counseling.
