Why do Western nations resist Arab nations?

Arab nations have a rich history of their own, in addition to very negative encounters (Colonialism and worse) with Western nations! Arabs, thus have their own identity and most are not opposed to modernization - this is a common misconception - they simply resist anything which will eat away at morality or their own cultural integrity!

Because it's a different culture that doesn't suit the arabs, same as the Japanese, indians, etc.
Every nation has its culture and I wonder why the west wants to westernize the whole world, diversity is a great thing, we shouldn't all be the same.

Incidental, the Arabs have no issues with countries like Switzerland, they are a true democracy and believe in freedoms. They have issues with nations trying to meddle in their affairs and change their culture....
Its not about the ideology of democracy, its about this country....So your question should be "why do Arabs resist USA?"

Because they have lived forever as an Arab nation... so why would they want to live like us?? Would you like it if someone told you how to live your life as an arab, after you were born and raised with western morals and values??

Is the West so much better? Do we offer so much more? People sleeping on the street. People in shelters with little children. Old people being neglected . People not being able to pay for their medication nor see a doctor. Streets clogged with traffic and skys covered by smog. This is something to "sell" to the Arab nations?

u said it , why do u want to turn East into west , one west is enough , we don't need to wests okay , the world needs some balance we need our EAST , but here is a good question , why don't the westerns accepts the Arabs the way they are ?? and why should Arabs give their traditions away ??

because westerners go to their holy land and builds a mcdonalds right next to their shrine and a walmart across the street from their big black rock
