I don't think it will make a difference but we will see.

I'm torn. I'm glad to have another starter, but wonder how much gas Maddux has left in the tank. And I hate to lose Izzy. Lugo may have a little more pop, though, so it's probably a push.
I can only hope Ballpark Frank will let Colletti spend some free agent dough over the winter and pick up some reliable starters and a power hitter.
And they should stop trading for shortstops! What have we got, like ten now?
Regardless, I don't think it's enough to get past the first round of the playoffs -- if we get that far.

Anything that involves LA getting a veteran pitcher, and being able to drop Izturis, who has become an automatic out in the lineup this season, helps the Dodgers.
Tack on the addition of Luna, and the Dodgers are right back in the race for the West.

Maybe a touch, but the Dodgers could have pushed for an ace like Schmidt or Oswalt, both of them were shopped. Oswalt or Schmidt would have made the Dodgers the favorite in the NL West.
I think the Padres will squeak by and win the NL West.

Your first 2 assertions are straw guy arguments so which you would be able to rail against. Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods, the two protection group individuals killed on the Annex...have been FROM a protection group that got here from Tripoli! The group skipped over stand-down orders to return and forth there to realize this. What you omitted of all of for this reason a protection group became pulled from Benghazi weeks before. It had no longer something to do with any budgetary constraints (Charlene Lamb testified to that). This, whilst there have been 2 different assaults on the Consulate in previous months, an assassination attempt on the British ambassador in Benghazi, different diplomatic missions from different international locations observed that it became getting to risky to be there and distinctive government development have been being controlled via Al-Qaeda factions, even flying the black Al-Qaeda flag.

Maddux is washed up. The Dodgers got a great player in Lugo.

It helps since they were able to dump Izturis, but that's about it. This team is not going to the playoffs.
