how do i change a a/c expansion valve in a 1997 gmc pick-up?

i know you need the right tools for this job
i can get them form the guys i work with
im not sure where the expansion valve is can someone help with this

The expansion valve is located on the passenger side of the firewall. Step 1, drain the system. Step 2, replace the expansion valve using standard wrenches. Step 3, vaccum system. Step4, recharge and test. Good luck.
