Can't get a "proper" job until your 16 in the U.K. Therefore, a job such as a paper round, babysitting, cutting people's grass, washing people's cars, ect is your only bet. Good luck!

It's the end of July and you're just now starting to think about what kind of job a 14 year old could get? It's a little late don't you think?
Anyway......
paper route
babysitting
washing cars
washing windows
edging sidewalks
pulling weeds
running errands for shut-ins
cleaning for a shut-in

Any job involving a 14 year old is going to involve manual labor and it's not going to pay much. But it will give you great satisfaction and you won't be sitting on your butt in the house.
I believe that you are too young in all states to get a "regular job" , like in a restaurant. But you could try local businesses for odd jobs.

Most 14 year olds cut their teeth on jobs like bagger at a grocery store, or even cashier if they're sharp enough.

Fast food positions are easy to get, but you work hard and get paid low.

Working at a video store is pretty cushy.

Better yet, try for a part-time job in a larger company's mailroom.

Mowing lawns and landscaping. I assure you that you will make a lot more doing this than you will as a cashier or baby sitting. It really isn't difficult work.

You also might be able to get more work because people see a younger person trying to better themselves.

good luck.
