Cell phones, young drivers, drunk drivers. I do beleive a study was done recently that suggested cell phone usage while driving was just as dangerous as drunk driving. However Insurance rates for young drivers suggest young drivers have the most accidents.

what I think in order
1) old drivers, I've been hit 5 times, and almost hit 9 more times.
2)drunk drivers, they see and react just as bad as the first.
3) and 4) tied, people o a cell phone know how to drive, put the phone call is more important to them just like when they are in a store check out and the cashier is asking for their money. and young drivers, well they are thought how to drive but love their Independence, and let the new freedom, go to their heads, and forget where they are.
the only difference is 2,3 and 4 can only be stop by the police, #1 can be stopped from driving by the state, police, courts, and family.

I feel that its all the four categories.
Young Drivers: These are the most impatient people, want to take short cuts wherever possible. They are not matured enough to drive and break speedlimits, lights thereby causing accidents.
Old Drivers: They are not as bad as the younger ones. These people do lose control sometimes and cause accidents.
Cell Phones: These people are the most distracted ones and cause accidents.
Drunk Drivers: Most of the drunken drivers lose control and cause accidents.

Drunk drivers, tired drivers, and drivers on cell phones. All of them should not be driving b/c they can't fully concentrate on the road.

its a huge mix between most of the above, old drivers have slower reaction times and in many cases dont see as well / hear as well, alot of young drivers go to fast for their own good, like the rush of the speed, like a new high or something, people on phones do not have as fast a reaction time as they do when they aren't on the phone, and if it is handheld it can also effect their own handling of the wheel and everything else, drunk drivers are just insanely stupid, they swerve, they are all bad news...... in general.. meh.

I think young drivers. Personally, I think that people under 18 should not be allowed to drive unless they have a 3.0 GPA in high school. This requirment would ensure that the young people who are driving are responsible and would encourage kids to work hard in school.

All of the above, but don't forget about just plain AGGRESSIVE drivers. They come in all ages and genders. Fast swerving, extreme tailgating, 20mph faster than the other cars-- Not only will they catch the inexperienced, the slow, and the distracted off guard, but good drivers also.

Certain age brakcets are more likely to cause wrecks. Fatal wrecks are usually caused by the elderly and the drunk folks. Younge people have high insurance because they get into a lot of fender bender/parking accidents however aren't repsonsible for a large number of deaths.
