because as humans we like watching freaks - its the modern day equivalent of the old Bedlam asylum- instead of paying a penny to see the mentally ill and delusional you pay your license fee instead -we live in a culture of celebrity where ordinary people perform less than ordinary feats in order to get themselves that double edged sword - Jade Goody getting her 'kebab' out or Nicki from BB obviously with issues but still allowed to display them for the oggling masses, we worship at the altar of the ludicrous and before you berate me for being an old fart - let me tell you, as a UK community we are more worried about Nicki getting death threats when she chose to appear in BB than we are about the bombs raining down on Lebanon -c'mon people wake up - if it all kicks off in the middle east we're dead - vapourised before you can vote Jade back into the house. I rest my case - and yes I am aware of the double standard of watching BB and writing this but in order to comment you must know the beast

I've just watched BB for the first time (my daughter is staying with me and she likes it). Pete is an absolute scream! Glyn is an insult to the intelligence of every Welsh person. Is any part of Susie real? I'll be watching again.

Because there are enough morons to watch and enough advertisers willing to pay for it during the breaks.
Pretty despicable way to run a TV station that began with lofty ideals.

The 1st couple were good to watch but i think they've overkilled it now.
It gets worse every year.
Lets face it, TV is generally Crap anyway.

You are not forced to watch it. I don't watch it but I can see that it is a popular show and thus must have some virtue within in we can't see.
