A fancy One from Claries. A Composition NoteBook or an Online one?

I found a simple composition notebook at Barnes & Nobles for $6.00 that has the metal spiral thinging on the side. I prefer that so that I can write more easily on the opposite side of the page. I'd suggest you get something more simple (instead of the fancy one from Claire's) so you add glue and stick on your own photos and images. I have some pictures of friends glued on the inside of the cover and I have this gorgeous picture of an Irish beach (with castle and everything) on the outside....it's my "mental happy place".

I don't like online ones because sometimes I just want to curl up in bed and write...instead of sitting in front of my computer.

Good luck!

I use a Composition Notebook as a journal. I made it my own since it contains all my secrets ans my thoughts. I think it makes it belong more to the author. An on-line journal is easy for anyone to hack on it. A journal purchased from Claire's is way too expensive. If you ever write something down that you do not wish for anyone to know. You may easily burn it.

I have both an online journal and a simple notebook journal. I often spend my lunch hour writing in the online journal and then usually write in my notebook either early morning or in the evening. I also have a hiking journal so that i can record all my hiking adventures! Journal writing is very relaxing.

Online is cool b'c you could back it up BUT we never can rely on technology. I would be devasted if the site i was hosting my journal on one day deleted my account (which is what myspace seems to be doing lately) with no guarantee that i'd ever see my journal again. If you go that route definitely BACK - UP.

Fancy ones are great and fun to keep on a bookshelf and even to write in as long as you are able to write in them well. Some I've had I can only write on the fronts of pages b'c it's too precarious to write on the backs b'c of how the backbone of the book works.

A composition notebook is a little too John Nash calculus geek to me but whatever floats your boat. I LOVE Papyrus, Borders, and Barnes and Noble journals.

depends if it is private? for your eyes only? then maybe a smaller one, easy to put away, or carry in a purse. mine is private as theses are my inter most thought and it might hurt others to read something in it if their thoughts differ-er so a clairs fancy one.
