Why do women start having kids and raising families younger then men?

I know that it isnt always that way but from what Ive read and what Ive seen I notice that women start having kids at younger ages then men and Im just intrested in hearing the theories behind that

Because they are just plain stupid. They think it is romantic to be a mother, yet they are children themselves. They have NO idea that their childhood is about to end forever, that they will have to be responsible adults. Bad scene all the way around. And, stupid girls! They think the only way they can get a boyfriend is to screw him....as in the past, that is the fastest way to LOOSE a boyfriend. Girls have been brainwashed by GIRLS into thinking that sex is the only thing going on...foolish and just plain stupid. There are lots of very stupid girls out there. It may take two to tango, but it is really the Girl's place to keep HERSELF in some kind of moral shape...not pregnant shape. AND, it is the Guy's job to pay child support! When, and only when, things return to somekind of sanity will this stop...but I will start with the girls...girls who think they are defined by whether or not they have a boyfriend. Boyfriends are NOT the end of the world, and NO girl should be chasing guys like this..Guys have NOT changed one iota...they use the girls and dump them for new conquesits...age old behavior. Girls, for some reason, think that if they screw the guy, he is theirs for life...what fools they be.

Ya, I have thought of the reasons for that a lot. I think it has to do with Men chase women and generally women don't chase men.
A young women is most fertile at 18 to 25 so its natural but in monkeys the politics of mating is often about the young male chimps competing for mating rights with the older male chimps.
Society and Nature I guess. Also maybe american men have wised up a bit and are more ready to make that commitment once a career and money is more at hand. I myself am interested in a family but it just doesn't seem to be an option even if it was raising someone elses kid.

A woman's reproductive system is in optimal condition for her first baby at the age of 18, 19 or 20. That's not just a modern convention: it is a medical fact. She has her full adult size by then, and her vagina and pelvic bones still have their childhood flexibility and plasticity.

If a woman has a baby between 18 and 21, her body will acquire the full ability to form the birth canal - which isn't the vagina in general, but only when it has assumed the greater size and the specific shape required for delivery - and her vaginal tissues will retain their stretchable quality. If she waits until later to have her first baby, the ability will be only partially or imperfectly acquired, and the stretchiness of the tissues will slowly degrade over time. (That means a greater chance of tearing during childbirth, which in turn means a higher rates of septic infection and increased danger to the life of the mother.)

If a woman has a baby between 18 and 21, her pelvic bones will retain a significant degree of plasticity. Otherwise, those bones will slowly ossify and become more brittle.
