well if they are your friend they will understand. you should tell them the truth, because if you don't it might come out later that you lied, and then they will be more angry at you. your friend should respect you for telling them the truth. suggest something else to do that the 2 of you might enjoy together. but when you have the choice, you shouldn't have to do anything that you don't want to do.

Well first of all wooo hoooo! then i want to tell you a little story about my friend that you couldnt gossip to him about any one nor would he listen. See he didnt want to do it and he would just get this look about him. Like a dog that wont come when you call him. And he didnt say much either and usually looked the other way.
I must tell you that this is the most amazing thing I have ever seen!. I never forgot that and to tell you the truth I dont even remember anything i tried to get him to do but I do remember how much I admired him for doing that :)
Well I hope this helps.

Sometimes there isn't a way to do that. If would be worse for you to do it anyway, knowing the whole time you'd rather not be there. In life our feelings get hurt. There is no way around that. If her feelings do get hurt, she should feel better quickly & if she is truly your friend she will then respect you for being honest & true to yourself. You don't want to go thru life only appeasing others do you? After you say you don't wan to, then maybe I could see a friend asking you to go with her anyway, for support, but if it is that type of situation, you would then have to decide if you're willing to go, just to support her. good luck with that one, female friendships can be dramatic, can't they???

Just explain that while you guys usually have fun together this is something you're just not into. Then say to give you a call when she gets back. It's better to tell the truth because if you lie you'll have to keep it going forever. That's really hard to do unless you're used to lying.

If they are your friend telling them should be enough. How strong is your friendship where it could be effected by this. If it can endbecause of what you refuse to do. That person is a bad friend and you can do better.

Why do you worry about hurting their feelings? If this person is really your friend, they will be okay if you don't want to do something. Time to grow up and be your own person and make your own decisions.

If the two of you are friends, she'll understand that what she wants to do may not be your thing, and just be honest and straight with her - you'd want her to do the same with you right?

Try going soft and say "No thanks I want to stay home today sorry. Maybe some other time." That's all. I know it's either hard or embarrassing. But trust me I know........
