Like someone said above; if you don't like it, don't watch it.
NASCAR is about strategy. It's about brains. Not brawn. Although it does take a certain amount of physicality to be able to handle a car going 200MPH "for a lot of laps". These cars have no air conditioning; the insides of the cars get to 110+ degrees every weekend. There are no bathroom breaks, no snacks, no pausing. The drivers are in constant action.
And the next person to claim NASCAR isn't a sport should be slapped. For the benefit of the IQ-challenged, a sport is defined as "a physical and/or mentally competitive activity carried out with a recreational purpose for competition, for self-enjoyment, to attain excellence, for the development of a skill, or some combination of the above."
And I resent the southerner comment made above. I was born and raised in NY state and have been a NASCAR fan all of my life.
PS: I don't like baseball or hockey or golf, but do you see me starting arguments about any of them? I think not.

NASCAR is most definitely not boring!! The drivers are driving 200 mph 3 or 4 wide at some points only inches from each other. There is nothing like it. If you've ever been to any kind of stock car race you'd understand.

Your a baseball fan and your calling NASCAR boring? You kidding me? Honestly, it's just like any other sport. No sport is exciting ALL the time, football gets boring, basketball has its boring times, and so does NASCAR. But I can promise you one thing (I used to think like you), if you attend a race and realize what's involved in the sport, and maybe watch a restrictor plate race or two, you'll realize how exciting it can be. I watch a good amount of sports, and I've never yelled at the TV as much as I did watching NASCAR.

Have u ever tried driving 200 mph????? In a circle? Ever hear of G-forces? Dehydration? It is not just about a person driving a car. There is a whole team behind THAT car, besides just the driver. It is about stategy, endurance, talent, and luck. There are races on the circuit that include left and right turns like Watkins Glen.

Ovals not circles! Geeze!!! There are people who think your baseball is boring, too! I personally love both! Why do you care enough to ask the question? So, you think it's boring...it's a free country you are entitled to feel how you like...but that's your opinion and you know what they say about opinions! Have you ever watched a race in person? A lot of people find watching it on TV boring (I'm not one of them) but with all of the drama and stuff that goes on, it ends up being pretty boring. And I can't think of one thing more exciting than seeing my least favorite driver get plowed into the wall by someone else.

It aint boring to us who understand the sport, lots of technical things involved, I guess you would need to have somewhat of a brain to understand it....Lots of strategy involved, It happens to be the top sport now above football in America, somebody must like it......I know I do! F1 by the way sucks....the irl has that wasted...and BG hit it right on the head! It has now been proven that driving a nascar cup car is ten times more strenuous than playing panty waste football! Oh and day by day....Find a cup car driver that makes what you make a week....I bet youre a fry cook.....

Ok. Its boring to you because you are not a fan. I think baseball is boring. All they do is hit a ball with a stick and run around in a diamond. It all depends on what you like. Some people think football is boring, some think golf is boring, and some think hockey is boring. Everyone has their own opinion.
