Step one: Spell out words in their entirety. Do not use "2" instead of "to" or "ppl" instead of "people".
Step two: Write in complete sentences. Rather than writing "How to influence people?" say "What can I do to have more influence over people?".
Step three: Do what the other folks here said. It's mostly good advice, I think.

Try the famous book of that name:
How To Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie .
It was written back in the 1930's and is still around and selling thousands of copies every year.

Become sincerely interested in them and their lives. Remember their names and their birth dates. Send them a card on their anniversary, birth date or other important events. Ask to see pictures of their grand-kids and practice comments that are warm and sincere, such as "What a beautiful grand child, you must be so proud...." They'll take it from there.
BTW: I keep a calendar of birthdays, even very casual acquaintances, I also am good at remembering astrological signs so when I see them I am prompted to remember their birthday. They often do not remember telling me and they are quite flattered that I remember.
If you have problems with memory, practice, attach something you do remember to the name. Such as Rachel = Friends star.

The absolutely best way to influence people is not too. You we have no control over people, places, and things. No matter what you do... they ultimately make the choice.
