Ladies, don't you think it's great how leggings are coming back?

Question

I think the fact that leggings are "in" for the cooler seasons is great- anyone can wear them. Whether you have a good body or not, leggings and a nice big sweater can look gorgeous on just about everyone! And they're so sexy with heels. ;) Anyway, do you agree or not? If no, why not?

Why would they be okay in the 70's and not now? Explanations needed, people. These weird and illogical answers are not satisfactory, helpful or informative...

They're so cute, despite what anyone says! I'm excited to be able to wear my new (short) denim skirt into the fall and winter, without having to wear tights! yuck! I love all the 80s fashion trends that are coming back!

Personally I think leggings were only cute when they first came back (i.e. on sienna miller, keira knightley, and other really fashion icons today). Back then (this was last fall or so) it was so eclectic and fresh that I even considered buying myself a pair. But back then, everyone was like "NO it's too WEIRD i don't WANT one" and they held off on buying them until millions of other girls at school were seen wearing the same thing. Then they were all "hmm maybe they're ok" and then they started. The only appropriate way (in my opinion) to wear them is NOT with denim minis. Like you said, long chunky sweaters still look amazing with leggings no matter who's wearing it or how long they've been around. It makes it look fresh all over again! That would be really cute with ankle boots, just to put a twist on it so you don't look like everybody else.

i dont really know how to approach the style - i mean, leggings arent supposed to be expensive so i mean, when it goes out of style its not such a big deal.....but when it does go out of style, i think people who keep on wearing them will look really weird, no? like other clothes that arent trendy anymore dont look weird or anything, but what happens when everyone else is back to wearing bell bottom jeans and t's and some people are walking around in leggings and skiny jeans? it will just make them look old and definently in need of a makeover, but not so with other trends that went out of style (i.e. peseant skirts...) LOL i dunnooo

HEEELL NO!!!!!! legging are the ugliest things out right now except for those ugly heely shoes!!! they were ok n the 70s but not now theyre just plain ugly

i am soo happy leggings are back
cause i love to wear them
even though i been wearing them for a long time
for dance
but im happy i can leave dance and with leggings on
and go to lunch or the mall anything

I just started getting into them and now I think they are sooo cute. My favorite thing to do is where them under denim miniskirts with a long beaded necklace. I think that look is sooo cute! So ya... I am right with you! =) They are cheap too!

I totally agree and am wearing them on the first day back to school! I LOVE LOVE LOOOOOOOVE leggings and cannot wait to show them off!

Girl, I am so happy they are coming back. To me, they never left except it was hard for me to find them in stores. Now I'm back in business. Hills with leggings, so hot on me!

i agree. you can wear a short jean skirt in the fall/ winter when you put leggings under it, also works for dresses
