I have one on my car and it was stolen recently. I think we can support the troops without supporting the war. The troops are simply doing their job. They don't have the luxury of quitting, if they do they lose their right to own land or a gun in the US due to a Dishonorable dicharge, and forget finding a job.

I have a "Support the Troops -- Impeach Bush" bumper sticker on my car, and, a small american flag in my rear window.

I support wholeheartedly the troops, I just do not respect the man who sent them there.

Since the majority believe the cause to be just then support them means also supporting what they are doing.
I support them and their mission.
"Supporting the troops not the mission"
This is the same "excuse" used during the vietnam war. I've a vietnamese friend who wishes to express her gratitude for those guys who fought for their freedom.

I support our troops and have a ribbon on my car. I also support the war in Iraq and am not ashamed to admit it. I also have a ribbon (magnet) that supports the efforts to help the people in the Darfur region of Sudan, Africa.

the ribbons are a great thing until you see them plastered on suv's and over sized gas guzzlers... come on folks lets try to pretend we aren't the most selfish people around!!! as for the troops, they are amazing men and women they deserve all the support we can give them:o)

I agree...no matter how we feel about the politics of the situation, these men and women are putting their lives on the line for us. They and their families deserve every bit of support we can give them. If we don't like why they're over there, then we need to work on the people who sent them over.
