Rev. Fallwell (sp?) said that Tinky Winky was gay a few years ago... but my question is... are they really boys or girls on the show? I don't remember seeing any references to "He" or "She"... or am I wrong?

I have actually seen a show where "PO" the red one was referred to as SHE! Blue and green are more or less male, I would say yellow is a female along with "po."
That whole gay thing is just STUPID. I dislike the show because the creatures are annoying.

Rev. Falwell didn't say that Tinky Winky was gay, but an article written by another author and published in one of Falwell's publications, The National Liberty Journal, warned parents that there was something just a little tinky winky about ol' Tink. The creators of the BBC show denied that there was any sexual inuendo in the program and called the criticism "absurd and offensive."
The Flab Four are essentially toddlers, having gender (Tinky Winky and Dipsy are males, La-La and Po are females) but not yet having fully developed gender identities.

Tinky winky is the only girl she has a purse, If you notice they are not of the same race. white, black, Asian and Spanish (not sure of this one) it's been awhile, kids are pass that stage, thank God. there is 1 girl and 3 boys.

Tinky Winky and Dipsy are boys and LaLa and Po are girls. The NooNoo has no apparent gender. I've spent way too much time watching PBS with my kids!

dunno...but soon after the fallwell thing...they had an episode where they all came back to there little house and they all had dirty knees....very disturbing...or bad timing....
