I, along with many people including some Israeli citizens (protesting the war) are against what is happening.

If people hearts don’t hurt from the horrible images of the dead children, I cannot image what the world is coming too.

The problem is this not happening in Lebanon only, it’s also happening in Palestine and Iraq. People are bombed in their homes under the myth sold be the media and several “governments” that the occupiers are ‘defending” themselves against the “so called terrorists’ who are hiding amongst the civilians.

Unfortunately, this is untrue and propaganda to legitimize and excuse the genocide don against the citizens of these countries.

People fighting to live on their occupied lands are being labeled as terrorist.

-Parts of Palestine were handed to Israel in n1948 under the Balfour declaration.
-Iraq’s invasion was based on false reasons.
-The latest war on Lebanon was planned for by Israel one year ago and began when the Israel crossed the Lebanese borders (contrary to the story sold to us by the biased media).

The international community (specific governments) are allowing Israel to conduct genocide against the Lebanese people, punishing them to force them to comply with UN resolution 1559 and at the same time, these same countries are vetoing every Un resolution against Israel and not putting any pressure whatsoever to force Israel to comply with UN resolution 242 & 338.

I just wonder how you people think about this THING called Israel!! Although I know that your media has big effect on the way your thoughts and believes are initiated , but I am even more amazed of how you guys are not able to realize the very clear truth and fact of how Israel and its killing-by-nature alliance of USA are the most arrogant, disdainful and scornful forces ever existed on this planet.
Its a big shame and disgrace to consider killing kids and women as self defending. For God's Sake, how Israel is presumed to be a defender!!! Defending what exactly? Is it defending their rights to murder kids, is it defending their thoughts of stealing and occupying others' properties? Israel are invders and by magic they turned to be defenders. It is not only about the nowadays crisis, it is about the original conflict in the middle east? Have you ever came to think why this part of the world is the most unstalbe and unsettled for the past decades? Do you think that this idea of NEW MIDDLE EAST is just born very recently? Can you dare to believe that capturing two hostages is the real reason behind this massive desctruction and savage killings of babies and innocent civilians? Why don't you just discuss the reason of this conflict, instead of discussing the results!! Why can't Israel simply return to Lebanon the rest of land it occupies? Why can't Israel release the lebanese hostages held behing bars for almost 30 years? Who gave Israel the right to kill and capture hostages and forbidden other nations to defend themselves and to speak up protecting their rights?
Why will ever the lebanese government consider keeping HezbAllah active on the borders if there was no Israel violating and breaking all the international laws and borders? What HezbAllah as a resistance force will resist if there was no enemy to fight against?
A message to Israel:" Respect the International Borders, excute the United Nations decisions # 425, etc..., release all lebanese hostages, and HezbAllah will not exist again to kick you out".

First let me say that I, like most people in this world, am unable to truly understand what is going on...but unlike a lot of ignorant people answering this question, I have tried to understand what is happening in lebanon, Palestine and Israel, simply by taking the time to use this tool we have of the internet and to search out opinions and facts and above all, to think for myself.
It really does anger me when I read one line quips or nationalistic opinions that have clearly come from watching too much CNN.
You people, like me, have the luxury of living in a country with free press and a so called democracy...so why don't you think for yourselves, instead of swallowing every bigotted opinion sent to you by your government via your narrow minded news stations...(and news from the rest of the world....summed up in a 5min bulletin!!!)
If it matters to any one, I am not a muslim, I was born in London to British parents and raised as a catholic.
This is not primarily a muslim issue, as a large percentage of the population of Lebanon are not Muslim.
This is an issue over land, land taken from the Palestinians by force and given to the Jews of northern europe by the UN.
Hezbollah are not terrorist but geurilla soldiers, initially formed from the relatives of Lebanese people massacred by the Israelis. They are not funded or supported by the government of Lebanon although their are sympathisers within the government but the Lebanese government are not strong enough to get them to stop fighting or to get them to leave.
Maybe if the west gave Lebanon the support, funding and military backing that it gives to Israel, we would not have this current situation.
To end, I will say, I have been to Lebanon and I have seen the country and met the people and they are a great people who for too long have been used by their neighbours. Before this current situation, they were a people with hope, looking to the west for freindship and support...how will they be looking at us now?
Use the brain that God gave you...whichever God you choose.

I truly believe Israel and Lebanon can coexist, but the Hezbollah terrorist are making that a very difficult task. Just when they have a cease fire to get the innocents out of the way, the Hezbollah takes the opportunity to fire rockets and hit an Israel tank killing three. Not a strong enough bombing. Lebanon is harboring terrorists hiding behind children and under womens skirts. As the people will not get rid of these people on their own - it falls to Israel to help clean them out. Israel is doing the world a major service as we don't want the Sears Tower bombed next. My opinion about Lebanon is that both Israelis and Hezbollah are wrong. However, Israel is acting too stubborn and apparently is intending to kill as many people as possible, as a revenge....this is wrong. Hezbollah is projecting rockets at random on Israel and intending to kill both Israelis and Palestinians who live there...this is wrong also. USA is supporting Israel and pretending to be the broker. USA is trying to cease fire and at the same time USA is sending smart bombs to Israel to kill more civilians in Lebanon....this is wrong too. I am really confused about the whole thing. As a final statement, the whole thing is really STUPID and we are stuck with a stupid president who is trying to add more gasoline to the fire.

I don't know enough of the facts to give an educated answer, but it appears to me that Israel is doing the wrong thing. I do not know enough to be on either side, but they appear to be acting with too much bravado that may bite them back. They seem to think that because of the six day war that they are invincible, but in the current climate, they may be biting of more than they can chew. They may also be a pawn in a bigger game that will end up hurting us all. It seems like there is just too much testosterone going on here and not enough intelligent problem solving. Religion, religion, religion, we all came from the same place whether you believe evolution or creation.
Also remember that one persons bad guy is another persons good guy and I am not as I said on anyone's side but Hezbollah or however you spell it does build hospitals and give assistance to people so I can not demonize them, they believe just like their enemies believe, I just wish we had more trustable facts.
