1000 Bytes = 1 KB
1000 KB = 1 MB
1000 MB = 1 GB


just multiply by 1000

There are 1,024 MB and a GB. Since computers sort their bytes in rows of 8 we have to work with multiples in 8 when talking about computer memory.

there's only 1024. There is no such thing as 1000 mb in a gb

It depends on who is measuring.

The "standard" is 1 gigabyte = 1 024 megabytes
Most hard drive manufacturers say 1 gigabyte = 1 000 megabytes

This is why the advertised vs the usable space on drives differ upon install.
