Is it normal to still have pain on the inside ot the incision? Part of it had gotten infected and they had to cut part of it open again. I spent 7 weeks packing it until it healed. Problem is, it still hurts on the inside. I went to my doctor about it and she said I'm just healing slow. That still doesn't sound right. What do you think?

It's still numb there too, will it always be like that? I feel bloated right there and sometimes I feel like my insides are mush.

Get a second opinion from a different doctor. Listen to your intuition and your body. If it feels like something isn't right, you should pay attention to that intuition.

I had a c-section myself 2 yrs ago and the healing process is slow yet painful. The pain inside is normal for about 2-3 wks. I think the pain you have on the inside dosn't sound right especially since you healed after 7 weeks. You should go back to your doctor to see if there is no major infection or something else.

It does sound like youre healing slow. After my C-section, I still had a little pain from time to time for at least 6 months. Keep in mind that your body is trying to return to normal, plus you're taking care of an infant 24/7. Just keep an eye on yourself and if you feel like something just isn't right, call your doctor just to be sure. Try and take it slow and easy if possible. Conrats on the little one and be safe :-)

I had a similar problem. I finally had to get a second opinion. It turned out to be a small infection due to a faulty stitching on the inside. I would get a second opinion if you see no improvement or if you get any bumps. I had to get recut because i kept getting fluid sacs. Although it takes time to heal...you should see improvement and if there is none or almost none then another doctor may be the route to go.

It's been 19 years since I had one and would you believe I still get pains at times? The doctor says they are phantom pains, but they still hurt.
Yes, it did take me about 12 months to feel back to normal. Give yourself a few more months and be sure you are not overdoing things. Are you lifting things you shouldn't be? Are you trying to exercise the muscles there too soon? Are you eating right? Taking vitamins? Drinking plenty of fluids?
Be sure to take good care of yourself and you'll notice the healing process speed up.

yes i think it is normal i still have pain and i had one 2 years ago. ( then again i had another baby vaginally 5 months ago.) but the numb feeling will always be there. i am not sure but people say its cuz they have to cut through some kind of nerve. i know that its harder to firm up after c section because they go through your muscles. good luck. you should talk to a different dr though if u think urs isnt right.

Yes it does. I have a friend that has twins and they were born 5 years ago, and from time to time she still feels pains. Just stay in constant contact with your doctor if you are skeptical.

Good luck!

Get a second opinion, definitely. If you are not comfortable with what your doctor is telling you, go to another one.
