1) Go over the bill to verify there are no errors (charged for work not performed, etc)
2) Go over your contract (written hopefully?) to make sure you are not missing something.
3) make a list detailing each overcharge and the justification for your feeling. "I just think it should be cheaper" is not good enough. This step may require calling a few of the vendors competitors to get an idea of where they are priced. DO NOT mention the name of your vendor or give any indication of the reason you need the information. If they like your vendor, they may bump your prices and if they don't they will lowball you.
4) Once you are positive you are correct, sit down with the vendor/supplier and go line by line down your list and see if he/she is willing to address your concerns.
5) If unable to resolve directly with the vendor, check and see if there is a corporate office you can discuss the issue with.
6) As a last resort, a complaint to a professional organization (I had to do this with a CPA recently,) or a trip to small claims court may be required.

Did you get an estimate - in writing - before the work was done? If so, then you cannot be charged more than the estimate unless you have okayed it in writing.
But if you didn't get an estimate in writing - shame on you. You can protest the bill, but I don't think you'll have a lot of luck.

didn't they give you the price before they started the work? if they did then pay the bill and live with it, and if they didn't then go talk to them about it.
