First off, I know how how you feel and I'm sorry! I want to go into Journalism so I try to speak publicly but still get nervous. Drink water and just relax and smile before your presentation, Have confidence !!! or fake it ! Just practice and dont act nervous, look above the peoples heads and rarely look at the paper, Change tone of your voice sometimes give hand gestures, talk like a reporter of TV would, thats what I think. :D good luck!!!

Depending on the severity of your problem, I might recommend 1. vitamin B complex, which helps the nerves heal, take with food; 2. chamomile tea, a mild sedative safe even for young children; 3. valerian root, about 250 mg. every 4 hours as needed, as much as 1,000 mg. at bedtime to help with sleep. Valerian is non-addictive and I know of no contraindications; 4. extract of green oat seeds, 1 to 5 ml. in water taken 3x daily; 5. vervain (verbena officinalis) is especially good for nervous exhaustion, depression and "nervous breakdown."

Better yet, first try alternative medicine, maybe accupuncture, herbs, meditation, or homepathy.
I take a multi B vitamin that does wonders. Just be sure to drink a lot of water with it, otherwise it will sort of come back up and it's a really gross taste. St. John's Wort is supposed to be good, especially for sleep.

bach flower remedies are very good. you can get them in boots the chemist or holland and barrots. Rescue remedy is the one for nerves. I put 1 or 2 drops under my tongue before exams (my nerves are never good then!) The are alternative to taking prescribed medication and would be a good first step. If that doesnt work maybe a doctor can give you further advice

find out what is causing the nerviousness and quit it. If it be drinking. smoking too much sugar, caffiene, dont mask the symptoms or it will all come bursting out in other ways...dark greens dark green salads. alll contain the b vitimins needed for healthy nerves. in the mean time take a mega b complex. and start eating healthy. a healthy body is a calm body and mind

I like Hyland's Calms Forte, too. Most prescription meds make me drowsy, but not necessarily calmer.
