No, I don't believe there's any law requiring this..but it is also dependent upon the type of work being done and what is the norm for that type of industry.

Most industries who do use shift work, usually have unions...I'd check with your union rep.

The pay for shift work is normally built in the pay structure. normally higher pay is associated with shift work
