Are there any problems due to this age difference?

my guy is 7 years younger than me, and he's more mature than half the guys my age that I dated. It's not an issue unless either of you make it an issue. Though we aren't married yet, we are planning on it. And don't listen to what other people say - they are jealous of a good thing!

Yes! He always felt like he had the right to be immature because of the age difference, and I was supposed to take care of any problems that created because I knew more. He felt like he had the right to make 'mistakes' but I shouldn't because I should know better. And I should always forgive anything after he finally 'understands what he did wrong'. He tried to be my son's (from a previous marriage) best friend instead of a parent figure, and they'd always team up and try to 'fool mommy'. And I can't show the least bit of dissapproval without him seeing me as some strict authority figure.I wouldn't even date a man more than 2 years younger than me if I were single. Age doesn't always matter, but in my case I feel like I'm raising some woman a good husband!

By the way we are 8 years apart in age.

I think that the age difference isn't too bad. However once you start going 10 year and over it could be a problem. Only because of the maturity level not the age. I think that people whom watch the age difference aren't mature enough to handle it anyway. As long as the both of you are mature you will be alright.

Not unless one of them makes it a problem, 8 years isn't that big a deal, unless of course one is 12 and the other is 20.

that's not a big age difference if problems do arise just try to understand that men don't see things thee same as women and don't mature as fast i hope this helps you through some situations if they occur but don't be his fool men will try you also to see what they can get away with .lol its true.

"Age is just a number"

It's all about the individual. Some teenagers have all the maturity of adults several times their age, and some 40somethings act like babies (I know some of each).
