Ducks' quacks do echo - just very quietly. I've heard them - and not in a cave, in a normal outside environment, with the "quack" echoing off their hut.

No. A duck's quack does in fact echo. The reason why you don't hear it is due to the sound and nature of the original quack. It's reverberation and noise is still dying down when the echo returns and just blends with the sound and becomes indistinguishable. Part of this is due to the limit of volume that ducks are capable of. Their echo needs to be returned from a surface close by.

nope thats an urban myth.
all sounds will echo, but its not very noticable with a quack apparently
