That is crazy that I just read this question. I just had my son 3 days ago, and named him Rowan. I know this really has nothing to do with your question, but where did you hear the name?

It's a type of tree. Anne Rice has a character named Rowan in her Witches trilogy.

Gender: Masculine & Feminine
Usage: English
Pronounced: RO-an [key]
Means "little red one", derived from Gaelic ruadh "red" combined with a diminutive suffix. This name can also be given in reference to the tree.
