i just recived my gas rc car and its already giving me a headache. I took it to the local hobby store to have it broken in and set up, but i got home and was running it for maybe a half hour and the white plastic piece that connects from the servo to the throttle already broke off, im sure its a couple dollar piece but wtf. And can i run a hose on it to keep it clean or no? Like i said i ran it for 30 mins and its filthy, how can i keep it clean without taking the whole thing apart everytime i run it grrrrrrrrr.......

Welcome to the wonderful world of RC! :) Gas engines are very messy little suckers, loud too. My dad and I fly them on our control-line and rc planes.
To clean it...do NOT run the hose on it or you will ruin your radio set. Your best bet is to just wipe it down real good. To clean the shell you can also use a sprayer with homemade mix of water with a few drops of detergent. ...and rinse by wiping with a damp rag. Cleaning the mechanical section will always be a pain.
Power sources...I prefer electrics simply because they are clean, quiet, and don't have the vibration associated with the gas engine. Good luck and have fun! :)

I've had gas and electric, cars, trucks and buggys. I prefer the electrics. Besides, electric is faster for the scale 1/4 mile. Just kidding the gas people there.

I find the electrics easier to control on a dry, slick dirt track.

i enjoy both but gas ones are a bit more dirty! RC cars if you have a good one can be expensive but so much fun.
