As a handicapped child, I ask these questions:
Why am I handicapped? Why are there no handicap policeman? Why do my parents blame themselves for my handicap? Why are there no handicap teachers? Why are kids looking at me differently? Why are there no handicap T.V. stars? Why do kids beat me up just because I am handicapped? Why are there no handicap movie stars? Why are there no handicap people where my parents work? Why do I have to have handicapped friends? Why are there no handicap baseball players? Why is everyone trying to make me better? Why are there no handicap basketball players? Why do doctors want to change me? Why are there no handicap hockey players? Why are buildings not accessible to me? Why are there no handicap soccer players? Why are other parents afraid of me? Why are there no handicap swimmers?
Why am I in a special class? Why are there no handicap singers?
Why did god do this to me? Why am I so lonely?
Why are there laws to protect me? Why?

Just one example here I can think of off hand that debunks your theory: Maybe you're too young to remember - though it's only been within the last 10 years or so - a major league baseball pitcher by the name of Jim Abbott. He only had one arm but pitched and did very well at the major league level for quite some time. Don't use your handicap as an excuse to not accomplish things. It's bad enough that people without handicaps do this without you taking lessons from them.

You should watch Last Comic Standing!!! Josh Blue is awesome and I hope he wins!!!!! I understand most of what you said but honey it's pretty obvious why there aren't handicapped sports players in regular sports... Someone who's deaf can't be a singer, etc... Make use of you're own special talents... I don't consider this a poem though so no rating...

I would give it a 7. You're obviously handicapped, which I don't think there's anything wrong with, so I know how much more difficult writing something this long was for you. I have an 18-year-old cousin who is mentally retarded from birth. I have looked after her for most of my life. I know how hard it is to have a dissability.

I'll give you a 7.5! Actually, these are good questions! If you could make this rhyme this would be an even better poem. God makes us all a certain way for a reason. Yours may be to give someone else with your same affliction hope! You may become the first poet with a disability ever to be published. Keep your head up and keep writing...you'll only grow and get better.

Poems do not have to rhyme.I give it a ten because it sounds as if it comes from your heart,It's very good made me stop and think, and be gratefull for what I have.I'm sorry to hear other kids pick on you that is so uncalled for.But keep your head up and keep trying hard.
I wish you the best ,I hope you find friends and happiness in whatever you try to do.
