I went to visit Htown not too long ago and I heard that the place has a lot of big buildings and humid weather and big masquitos. All of those I believe when I heard from my friend who lived there. But when I heard what he said about Starbucks over there, I wouldn't believe him. Now I do. Why did they built a starbucks across a starbucks?!! I mean was it supposed to be a joke somebody's tryin to pull?! Who in the right mind would want to drink coffee and cross the streets to drink more coffee?! Give me a break!!! That is the weirdest thing I have seen in my entire life. Though I am still young so I think I probably will see more weird things. I think that is more weird than if I see an Alien.

I think when they built 2 Starbucks across the street from each other, I don't think that they intended for people to go to one, and then walk across the street and go to the other one. Yes, it does seem redundant. But it's all about marketing. I am sure that Starbucks has marketing research people to determine where to put stores and they had reasons for putting them where they did, for example each store might be really busy so they must have a demand for 2 stores so close to each other.

Everywhere you go they build a Starbucks across the street from another Starbucks, it's how Starbucks does business.

Its not Houston, its Starbucks. They must figure that if they build enough stores you will never know the difference between their's and good coffee.
