Ok do not drink soda...at all. have fruit instead of snacks and chips for dinner have a little salad with your meal with little or no dressing. jog for atleast one hour a day or exercise for that much & do not eat more than 1,500 calories

You have lots of time, just take it easy and don't focus so much on losing 5 pounds. If you increase your exercise a little, drink lots of water and eat three good meals each day the weight will come off no problem. Make sure you have a good and healthy breakfast every day to get your metabolism working. However, if your body really doesn't need to lose weight, you won't see much difference because you are healthy as you are. At 12 years old, I bet you are healthy so long as you are not a 'couch potato'. If you want to lose weight then I guess you aren't so happy with how you look but, believe me, you need not worry. Maybe you should try to walk tall and carry yourself better. If you walk proud and straight it will make you look slimmer without too much effort. Just check out how models pose in magazines, they are never so slim in real life but know how to walk and stand to maximise how good they look. Why are you worried over 5 pounds? You are 12 and should be enjoying childhood and not worried over physical appearance.

For starters, you as a 12-year old shouldn't be losing weight. Just eat salad and fruit, etc. And you'll be alright.

Well, at 12 I don't think you need to lose weight, but you can eat healthier foods and don't eat too late at night, exercise, be active in any way, but don't overdo anything!!!

I think the weight that you would loss in that amount of time will be water weight. You can try eating smaller meals and slim fast.

eat salads with little dressing and sandwiches with no mayo. do a little cario like walking or rollerblading everyday, i bet that would do it.
