I just burned my first DVD movie! I first used a DVD-R, then I used a DVD+R and had the same results with each....they play fine on the computer but will only playback on ONE of my THREE DVD players. What am I doing wrong, and what can I do to insure that my movies will play back on most ANY DVD player? Thanks!

In general, DVD -R is more compatible than +R. With that said, there is no "works everytime with every dvd player" brand of media.

In general, all newer dvd players will work with most any media on the market. When it comes to older dvd players about all you can do is experiment with different brands and see what works.

Did you finalize the discs for playback only. Either format should work equally as well if finalized. Before finalizing, my DVD player (stand alone) will only play DVD-R but will play all equally as well after they have been finalized.
