I looking to find out what kind of plant/shrub I have. whats the best site to use?

It looks like a bush but then in the summer it get long stock on it to look like asparagus then blooms into flowers.Now after the flower are done it has what look like little green peppers on it. Help!!!

it sounds like an agave. the long stalk is the influorescence, but agaves don't look like bushes. you may want to take a pic of it and either post it on here or bring it to your local nursery.
