Diapers are # 1
Also a really great gift is getting a gift basket and putting some tissue paper in it. Go to your local dollar store and buy baby shampoo, desitin, baby wipes, baby powder, baby wash, combs, brushes, thermometers, and definitely gas relief medicine. Also, bottles, (I recommend Playtex), liners, or bottle brushes.

These are things that you always need by never seem to have enough of. It won't cost a lot of money and something the soon to be parents will really appreciate.

Definatly diapers. Get a package for babies a little older than newborn, as everyone will be buying the tiny ones. Also, maybe a gift certificate to the grocery store if they are feeding formula, that stuff is super expensive!!

It depends. If the parents are in need, practical items that will make their lives easier are in order. Lots of diapers, stroller, clothes, etc..If they have lots of supportive family and no financial issues, a momento such as a silver/pewter baby cup with a monogram is nice. Gift certificate for a baby picture at a photo studio, etc..

I have the perfect gift Idea, Write down on a piece of paper," good for one free night out, babysitter". Or you could get a gift card where they are registered at and that way if they didn't get something they needed then they could. Good luck.

Something practical like diapers or bottles. Everyone else will be buying clothes that the baby will grow out of within a matter of a couple of months so the parents will DEFINITELY appreciate something practical and money saving for them like a bag of diapers! :)
