With my first pregnancy, I craved tuna melts. :) My ob/gyn told me no more than one can per week (or 3 oz. of fresh tuna). Sometimes I cheated and had two tuna melts (the place where I went made them HUGE) in one week, and my older son is just fine. smart as a whip, actually. :) Well, my younger son is smart too, but I hated tuna when I was pregnant with him.

You shouldn't eat tuna anymore, it has high levels of mercury which can damage a developing fetus' brain.

NOT at all. Tuna contains a concerning level of mercury. You should avoid all bottom feeders as well. Swordfish and Grouper too.

You should also avoid all peanut products!!!!

Since some fish tends to be high in mercury, I've heard no more than once or twice a week...
