This is somewhat of a continuation from the last question I asked since some people seemed to think that I was depressed and needed to smile and wear less dark colored clothing, when in reality I do smile sometimes, but not that often because I don't like to fake happiness, and I don't always wear only black. I also sometimes wear shirts that are blue or green. I even wear jeans sometimes, even though I'm somewhat anti-jeans because it's very rare that I find a pair of jeans that I like. Anyway, I put some links to clothes that make up what my favorite outift looks like just to see if you guys think I'm as dark and dreary as some people say I am.

It doesn't matter what others think, who are they , a bunch of strangers, to tell you you need to smile? You sound 100% unique to me, and that is a great thing to be!

When I made the comment about Goths seeming depressed I was not talking about their clothes. I wear mostly black but I am almost always happy. Not fake happy either. I am happy because I love myself and I just naturally want to love others. I think it comes from with-in. Most Goths I have met are not happy people. Most seem seriously depressed or moody. Those people are not my type of people I tend to avoid them as I like people with a sunny disposition. I see no problems with your choice in clothing I think that is generally a very superficial thing to judge someone on anyway. Unless the shirt has something demonic on it. But look at your avatar you choose one that is proverbially sad. All the time you are putting out an air of sadness with every answer or question you post here. Why would you do that unless you are always or more often than not sad or depressed.

Life is too short and too good to wear such an air. Don't be happy all the time I get down sometimes too but I do not wear that as my identity.

Don't mean to be insulting ore offending or even to bring you down I am just being honest about my opinion with most of the goths I have met.

I like the goth look. You are not defined by what you wear. And goth is not defined by clothes either, it's more about your outlook on things (which isn't dark either just a tad more dramatic.) I have had "goth" friends before and they are just like anybody else.

If you are spending time linking clothes sites to yahooAnswers to show people something then you do have too much free time on your hands. Try to get a hobby. Or help people that have less then you do. Peace.

Clothes don't define you. I try to dress as bright and cheerfully as possible, but I'm on medications for depression. If you're happy with yourself, that's all that matters.

does it matter what other people think? just as long as your comfy in your body, mood, and clothing style it won't matter one bit. people who think that really don't know you(then again i don't either but who's counting) and are judging you by what you wear.
