it makes me sooooo angry!!!!! i'm hoping my family will try out high speed, but is ther anything good about dial up internet (btw, i have Netscape, which totally sucks)

The ONLY good thing about dial-up is the price. But now broadband is giving dial-up a run for it's money. You don't have to have the fastest broadband.....anything is better than dial-up. Check into the prices thru your phone company, satellite company or MSN, etc.

if i where you i would download internet explorer (i think its better). But i guees the advantage of having dail up is that its free. i think it is anyways..
you can try SBC Yahoo! (which is what i have)
or comcast cable. there are some that let you try high speed for free for a few months. tell your family they dont have anything to lose since its free.

I've never liked it. It's cheaper and that's probably the only advantage that I know of. Sorry!
