How does a mouse escape from a plastic container when the container when its shut all the way?

I bet I'm the only one who knows what your talking about. Those house mice are little bastards, I had about 5 of them in my apartment last year. What probably happened assuming that the container does not have any holes or that the container really was shut completely is the bastard got out as you were closing the lid.

it's because mice are really spooky creatures that can seep through solid objects.
