How about a Beach theme? Get some Beach Balls, Surf boards, and some BeachBoys on the music system.

I think a jimmy buffet them would be good. Just get a bunch of tropical things, fish , bright color -lays, pine apples, palm trees, you and your guest could wear hula skirts. YOu should use lots of decorative flowers-you could also fill up a few pools with water or your drinks with ice. the possibilites are endless. You can find a lot of hawaian decorations at party stores, party outlets and dollar stores.
you can also try to find some good music, like jimmy buffets greatest hits or just some luah music

hawaiin themed may be over played, but with short notice, it's quick and easily accessable. my sister cut a watermelon to look like a shark and then we filled it with fruit salad. just because you're doing an old theme, doesn't mean you can't do personal touches.

life gaurd theme everyone wears red and yellow. and you could decorate the pool house with cardboard cut outs of life bouys and life gaurd trucks. but careful dont fall in ha ha
