I was 16 and did it because my friend did it. I wish I hadn't, seemed like after that all the guys knew, not that anyone told since my first didn't even go to the same school but the pressure from the guys was strong and I ended up very promiscuios. If I never would have "gone along with the gang" I would have not gone in the direction I did.

I would definately have chosen to wait until I was in an long term adult relationship....I would say at least 23 yrs of age and at least 1yr of know each other and then at least 9-12 months on top of that in a commited relationship. Then your heading in the right direction as far as whether or not this is the person your gonna be with for the rest of your life. I think sex to early in a relationship will effect your judgement and the true essence of the relationship,

I feel that it is good to wait until you are with someone who genuinely cares for you. Waiting for marriage is a nice thought....and if that's what you want do it. But, if you've never had sex before you're gonna have the same unsure feelings whether or not you have sex before or after you are married.

I was 15 yrs. old and had been in a relationship with a guy who I thought I was going to marry for 1 year when I had sex with him for the first time. I absolutely do not regret it, at all.

It basically comes down to when YOU are ready.

I had sex at age 16, with a man who was 37.
Frankly, looking back, I think he took advantage of me. It should never have happened.

So you can wait... I say 20 years is a good enough time to start. I am not so stiff on the marriage thing as long as you protect yourself. But if you were really born 1992, then you have a lot of time.
Sex complicates things. There are more important things like a Career, extra curricular activities, volunteer work, learning another language, learning a skill to start your own business. Get involved otherwise and take sex off your mind now.
Find yourself and chart a course which will see you independent in life.

I was 16 years old. I dont regret it but i DO wish i waited untill i was married. I am only 19 now and i am now waiting from the last time i did have sex (17) untill i get married. It may not be the same commitment but it is one....ultimately its up to you...but in my opinion ...wait.

I was 16, I lost my virginity on a one night stand and yes I regret it I would have waited untill I had a steady boyfriend if I could turn back time. I wouldnt wait untill marriage though, but thats an individual choice.

I had sex when i was 16 matter of fact on my Birthday cause everyone else already had sex... I`m 44 now i wish i would have waited but not until marriage because......what if you get married and then you're not happy with the sex...would you stay with someone that doesn't satisfy you? Or would you divorce them,, or worst cheat on them... So do what you think is best for you..i recommend try sex first BUT SAFE SEX

16 and I don't regret it. From the answers above, I see that most girls/women regret it. I think its a noble idea to wait until marriage and I strongly recommend it, but you just never know. When opportunity knocks...
