You can get points in many ways. You get points by answering questions , voting for questions and even signing on. You can find all the info you need about it here http://answers.yahoo.com/info/scoring_system.php

in Yahoo!Answers when you get points when you answer questions, or vote, or make comments. If you ask a question you lose points.
If you kick the football and make a field goal it's 3 pts; score a touchdown 6 pts, Extrapoint via kicking= 1. A successful 2-pt conversion is 2 points.
In hockey a goal is 1 point. So is an assist.
If you shoot a basketball behind the 3pt line (an make it) it's 3 points. otherwise it's 2 points. A freethrow is 1 point.

U can get points 2 by answering a question and points10 if your answer is the best.

First you have to submit an application to yahoo along with one pint (it is VERY important it is EXACTLY one pint) of blood. Then you will be considered for the accumulation of points. The Board of Points Director will narrow it down to three finalist and the decision will be announced on December 31, 2006. Good Luck!

by answering questions, voting on unreolved questions and asking as few questions as you can. thats how come i've got over 2000 points in two months.
