Try the Very Merry Seamstress. She makes custom made costumes, but she copies many of them from Renaissance paintings, so they are true to the era, and very exquisite. She has photos of her re-creations and also copies of the old paintings so you can compare the two. You can also try History of Costume by Braun and Schneider. They are two gentlemen who lived in Europe in thee 19th century, and have done their research on costumes throughout history. They published thousands of colored drawings of different styles worn during different eras in different parts of the world. It's also a fascinating sight when you want to look at historical attire. You can also do an image search on Elizabeth I, or Shakespeare, as many paintings of Elizabeth's household were painted during their lifetime so what they're wearing would be accurate, and most theaters like to be correct in their costuming when preforming a Shakespeare play. Hope this helps.

Costume did differ across Europe (northern and Mediterranean, for instance) during Renaissance times, and I think you will find this site informative.
