yes, she can get it raised even if you don't get a better paying job. As the kids get older she can ask for more money, kids cost more as they get older.

Yep, child support is always negotiable. Think of it this way, if something happened to the child and it required much more money to take care of it you would be expected to contribute to that. The thing is why would you announce to your ex that you are now making more money? Unless it is taken directly out of your checks by the child enforcement agency where you are, then your company has to notify them. But if its something you pay on your own its no longer any of their business so keep quiet about it and maybe they never apply to have it modified. Plus a lot of that depends on how greedy and angry your ex is. Personally I would congratulate you on your success and, of course, if the child needed something extra would hope that you would contribute, or perhaps start a college fund for the kid with your new income but I wouldn't drag you back to court and force you to give it to me. I don't think I'm a typical mom in that respect though.

Yes. But there are some stipulations by different states on the amount of increase and how often it can be increased or decreased. You can call child support enforcement and ask them this question.

yes - I think most states would raise the support if you make a substantially larger amount per month...
Why wouldn't you want to share your good fortune with your children anyway? And are you able to get a better job partly because your daily physical responsibilities are now less since you don't live with your children? If so, shouldn't they benefit from it?
