We have to pay taxes. Where would the money come from to pave roads, for the infrastructure in every town and city through out the US. The street lights. Schools and educators. All the hand out for services rendered by the US. Student loans. Criminal Justice system. There is a never ending list of services that we receive for the taxes we pay. That is why it is important to see that our taxes are being used conservatively and vote for the right politicians. I don't mind paying taxes as long as the money is used for the needs an use of all the people. I sure wouldn't have to go back to using the old out house in the back yard and not having the convenience of flushing the toilet. Think about it . Get involved and see that your taxes a being spent right.

We have no choice, it's not against the law. If you want roads, hospitals and other services then you must pay tax to help provide and service them. We pay Government to make the laws and run our countries. All this comes through tax, when you and your parents get old depending on which country you live the taxes will pay for their pension.

Yes in theory....In Canada the income tax act was passed as a war tax that was supposed to be repealed after the 2nd world war ended...but who can give up that kind of cash cow? There have been many people over the years to actually take the government to court and win.I say we should all get in on a class action lawsuit to have that tax abolished.

No, the constitution authorizes the government to raise taxes and tariffs as necessary to maintain itself, the military, and projects in the public interest. The debate on income tax comes over the way it was passed in Congress. Many people believe that it was passed illegally because there was not a legal quorum of the House - essentially leading to taxation without representation. I have not studied the details enough to make my own conclusion on whether or not the quorum as legal.

Unless you work for the Government, tax cheats go to jail. Contact the White House and ask how they do it before putting your plan into action. They have several tax cheats in the Obama administration that can help you. Have a nice day.

it didn't say women could vote either.... but after a while it suddenly did.
about taxes, it doesn't say they can't try to get revenue to run the government from our income by levying taxes either, so it isn't "illegal". there is a thing called the "commerce clause" and it basically says congress has to run the country somehow. they used it to desegregate the country in the 60s because the separate but equal facilities had a measurable negative impact on travel between the states ergo, in the interest of "interstate commerce" they got to nix all those state laws.

This actually applies more to income tax than just regular taxes, you have to pay your regular taxes.
It is unclear whether the founding fathers ever intended for us to have to pay money on our income, and the wording on this issue could be used to say that they were completely against it. However, that was 200+ years ago, and the Supreme Court has said time and again that you have to pay your income taxes, so...
Pay your income taxes.

No, thats some bull crappy stuff that crazy people try to look for in the laws. It has come up so many times and every time these people keep being proven wrong. It is not against the law for them to tax us.
My brother actaully fell for that crap one time from one of his weirdo friends.

You're friend doesn't happen to be named Micheal? My boyfriend said the same thing to me the other day. You're right. No where in the constitution does it say taxes are a law. I think we're all being robbed.

This argument has been tried hundreds of times, all the way to the supreme court, and has been rejected.
Most of the people that have failed to pay taxes on this basis have served jail time.
Do you want to go to jail?
