I see a lot of question to responses ( mostly negative )not being circumcised- it has it pros and cons, so what's the problem?

Nope, there's nothing wrong with being uncircumcised if the foreskin isn't being bothersome. And in like 95% of guys it should be no problem. It's not gross either, if you clean yourself like you're supposed to anyway.

There's just a lot of myths surrounding the foreskin, like it's more prone to infection and stuff, blah blah blah. From one statistic somewhere (don't remember where, people quote it all the time), it's like 1 in 100 uncut infants may develop a UTI whereas it's 1 in 1000 in cut infants. But, you know, circumcision carries like a 1-10% complication rate with the majority of it being excessive bleeding or INFECTION. So, let's put this in perspective. 1-10% of 1000 is 10 to 100 . . . kinda negates that argument that it cuts down infections huh? It's things like that people don't tell you or don't think about. Also, in rare cases, some boys have died from circumcision whereas they'd be perfectly fine otherwise.

Yes, the foreskin can have problems. But all parts of the body can have problems. Tonsils have problems, so does the appendix, does that mean we should routinely remove them? Removing something just because it "may" develop problems later is not a good argument - ever. Circumcision is MOSTLY for cosmetic reasons, as such the decision to get cut or not SHOULD belong to the owner (unless seriously medically warranted, which does happen); not the parents, no one else.

Makes no difference to me. I know my ex wasn't circumcised and it was all the same. And for whoever said about not giving head give me a break its all the same. I know my new man and my boys are circumcised and the Doctors convinced me to do it because they used the fear of infection when there older and like 5 and on when you don't bathe them anymore. I don't think it matters one way or the other its a choice.

Medically? The jury is still out.

There is evidence that suggests that guys who are not circumcized are dirtier and more likly to pass on infections.

In my experiance they are just dirty and smelly.

But what it really comes down to - is that it is just gross. Yuck.

Nothing wrong with it. Personally, I don't like the way it looks. Supposed to be some medical reason. You'd figure the natural way would be ok. I dunno.
