First and foremost it's nice that you and your husband talked through this. However, don't be selfish. If God wants you to have twins, he'll give you twins naturally. Be happy for even being able to have one child when there's so many people out there that can't have children. No Dr. is going to prescribe you fertility meds just so you can have multiples. If you can conceive naturally they're not even going to look at you unless you've been trying for at least a year with no success or have had multiple miscarriages. Good luck and again, just be thankful for being able to have children and let God work his magic.
Baby dust to you!

I am a twin and I come from a family with twins in every generation, and I would not wish that one anyone!
However, if you're set on it, here's my suggestion: Avoid fertility drugs. You'll probably wind up with several babies, and either have to take care of them all, or abort some, which is something you may or may not want to do. I read recently that the United States is having a surge of twin births (about the last 15-25 years), and some scientsits believe it's related to bovine growth hormones that the United States have used in their cows in the last 15-25 years. The hormones are not allowed in the United Kingdom and the UK's amount of twin births have remained constant and steady. So try eating/drinking a lot of dairy (especially milk) and beef.
Good luck.

Fraternal twins run on the mummy's part simply by the indisputable fact that's 2 eggs that are released mutually so that you may have a predisposition to freeing more effective than one egg in a cycle. same twins are a similar egg that splits in 2 after that's fertilized, it is random and would not run on both part. So, your husband's mom does not result your probabilities of having twins.

Having twins is most attributed to family history so it's best to avoid something artificial to get what you want. And also twins are sharing the nutrition from their mother so most twins are a little bit underweight when popping into this wonderful world. That might be the reason why twins could be very beautiful but not so smart. Having a unique baby with high IQ is great.

No doctor is going to allow you to take the kind of fertility drugs that you need for twins without having a fertility issue. They can cause a whole host of nasty side effects (I've have many of them)-they can even increase your risk of cancer if you use them and do not concieve. They cost thousands of dollars and require costly tests and visits to a fertility specialist. If you have twins or more, there can be premature births, developmental delays, etc. Please try to be happy with whatever you get, there are many people out there who would be grateful to be able to just have one.

Twins runs in my family. I had three boys. I wanted two too. if you are not fertile. they might not help. on maury there was a couple that did the fertility and end up with 6 children. so i would sit down and think about real good first.

Fertility drugs have a lot of nasty side effects and won't guarantee a twin pregnancy. No doctor in his right mind is going to prescribe drugs and monitor you just for the sake of having twins.

I am currenty on clomid because i havent been ovulating..I would not take a fertility drug for any other reason than inability to concieve,I would not take it just so you have a 5-10% chance of having multiplies...that to me would be for the wrong reason..plus you run a greater risk of misscarrige when you are on fertility meds.I would just Concieve the natural way since you are able to and be glad if you just have 1.

First of all, no insurance company will pay for treatments if you aren't having actual trouble conceiving. Secondly, even if you are able to pay out of pocket, your Dr is unlikely to prescribe fertility drugs if you aren't in fact having trouble conceiving. Twin pregnancies carry higher risks to both babies and Mom, so please reconsider seeking this out. I can see why it appeals to you, but remember, we do have little control over the children we get. They may not be who we originally dreamed of, but I guarantee that once your baby gets here you won't be able to imagine it any other way.

You can't plan twins, and you can't make yourself have twins. Your chances are very slim, and I would advise not to using drugs, specially if you are already fertile. God, read a book or two before you decide to get pregnant, use common since.
