“Open Water” movie critique?

Did the documentary style filming make you feel more empathy for the characters?
Did you get sea sick while watching?

I got really scared, and couldn't go surfing for weeks!!!

I did feel concerned for the characters and totally got lost in the story, so I guess it worked.

I think that I would have liked the movie better if it weren't in documentary style. The movie was good and didn't stop me from going snorkeling in Hawaii the next week; however, I was more cautious of my surroundings than I might have been if I didn't see the movie. I didn't get sick from watching the movie.

However, I don't think that I ever want to go scuba diving. especially in another country. I do wonder how they knew what happened when they both died. Not just the ending but the fight they had the night before and the girl giving up in the end. It supposedly was based on a true story.

I did feel for the characters yes and I think the way it was filmed really made you feel as tho you could relate with them. I also liked how they made the characters other problems part of the film because it helped you get to know them even better. Nope, I did not get sea sick...

no i didnt get sea sick but i thought it was sad that they gave up so easily....i know they felt they had no other option but what a tragic way to go...and i forget was it her or him that went first...i know she was bitten but i cant quite remember exactly how it ended...i saw it a year ago

i got sick because it was a terrible movie and fell asleep halfway through it...it was terrible

no i think that the ending was just stupid
