Take care of all my $$ obligations. Buy a couple of the new environmentally-friendly cars for myself and son. Find an expert shoemaker to make me custom shoes for my sore feet. Hire a personal trainer/consultant for myself and family/friends who want to participate. Hire a gardener so I do not have to cut the grass anymore!
Hire the craftsman down the road to complete renovations on my house -- including installing all the energy-efficient retrofits that make sense. Hire an accountant. Find something that would make a real difference in each of the lives of family and friends and give it to them -- could be a simple thing or a college education.
Request time/advice from Paul Newman and his business partners about how to setup a successful non-profit -- and work toward revolutionary ideas on how to end hunger in the world - now.
Establish a community of model homes that integrate known and not-known-yet ways to use technology and research to come up with sustainable homes and farms. Perhaps, utilizing the "Habitat for Humanity" approach.
Establish a school for anyone who is interested regardless of age, economic status or current academic ability that would provide learning experiences that reflected their current level of knowledge/skills - with an eye to improving their learning habits, and discovering how they can learn successfully. This school would participant in the community building the "New concept -new technology homes & farms" mentioned above.
Take all we learn around the world as requested by individuals in other countries - setup similar educational / experiential experimental communities in those places.
Save some money for investments to keep growing the stuff!
If possible - invest or participate in a private venture to space.

1. Get my mom a kidney transplant for her PKD condition.
2. Pay all our outstanding bills and debts.
3. Buy my parents a new house and car.
4. Pay off whatever my brother owes in college fees.
5. Help out my friends with whatever they needed, within reason.
6. Go on a vacation.
7. Give a lot to charities.
8. Go to Best Buy and go absolutely nuts.
9. Give all my posessions away to charity, and get new posessions after!
10. Stash the rest.

Build me a decent house, buy a car, put a nice sum in the bank so interest can build up because I will continue to work and donate some to dove's campaign for young women. They need it more than I do. Also start up an online education site for anyone who wants free education because education today is too expensive.

First, I would pay off my debts and those of my family. Then, I would set up college funds for all my nieces and nephews as well as trust funds for my own sons. Then, I'd pack up my entire family, hire a yacht and crew and cruise the Greek islands, maybe even buy a house where my dad grew up. Once that's done, I'd send about $200,000,000 to my friend in Nigeria to build and furnish schools as well as provide for his needs as long as he lives (he's a priest and poor doesn't even begin to describe things). The rest of it I would invest and give to charities as I see fit. Maybe I'd even start my own foundation. Not funny, I know, but that's what I'd do.

Retire. Set my family, friends & myself up for life than give the rest to find a cure for paralysis and cancer (even though I believe they already have cures) help children in poverty stricken countries...
It's a billion dollars people - do you really need that much to live happily - if you're answer is yes than maybe it's time to reevaluate your life...

pay off bills, geto ut of debt. then of course I'd have to share it with family, and my close friends. then i'd buy a house, animals, a few porsches, and some practical cars, and then start my own production company. then invest the rest of the money. i've thought about this a lot.

Pat off all my bills and my family's bills. Keep one million for myself and give the rest to my favorite charities. Childrens hospitals, Red Cross, services like this to help the needy.
