If you just got your undergrad degree, you should take some time and get into the workplace. There are schools in most major cities that offer ad/design courses, but it's not easy to get into grad school and they prefer people who have taken some time to get experience in the world first. You should look for an internship in an ad agency. You may be starting at the bottom, but it's really the only place TO start in that kind of industry. You don't just walk in and become an art director, even if you did study it in college. Ad agencies look for freshness and originality, and they don't always prefer people with an advertising education - they like those who 'think outside the box'. Get a job or an internship in the field, if you can. You will learn more from that about how the industry works than you will from a college course.

It's really hard to believe you just completed a degree in fine art and have to be asking a question like this on these boards.

Don't colleges offer career advisory?

Makes me feel glad I didn't bother with the higher ed system...

Good luck anyway, it's a tough market out there, even for the prepared.

I think you need to look into Arts Administration - as someone who also has a degree in Fine Art.
