I think anything in the last 5 years should be taken off, Spongebob may be lovely and great but does he have the staying power of Mickey? Other than that I generally agree.

Ok, little Miss Harry's Hottie is a cartoon hater. She doesn't need to put her lousy input on every cartoon she never watched. She obviously does not know greatness when she sees it, for she can't understand why everyone is obsessed with Betty Boop.
Betty is an american icon, a sex symbol and one of the first female carton characters to get her own show and not have a boyfriend or male protagonist stealing the spotlight.
I agree that Ren & Stimpy and Beavis and Butthead are stupid shows that wasted many precious hours on t.v.
The Looney Tunes, Mickey Mouse, Mighty Mouse, Chipmunks, and Gumpy are part of the greatest cartoon characters in history. Powerpuffs, Daria, and The Pussycats are also great female cartoon characters along with Betty.
The Simpsons have some how made their way into history as the longest running cartoon show on t.v., and also longest regular show too. Pulling a Homer or being a regular Bart Simpson are now in trend phrases and will be remembered for a long time.
There are far too many great cartoons to list, and no one can truely say who is the best, but we will have our top runners on top as long as we debate this.
I for one love cartoons, especially the old ones that no longer air. Smirfs, Snorkels, Rainbow Brite, Pink Panter.....I love finding them on DVD so I can have them for my childeren and so more generations can enjoy them.

1. Bugs Bunny - YES
2. Homer Simpson - GOD, no! I hate the Simpsons. It's so....stupid.
3. Rocky and Bullwinkle - eh, sure.
4. Beavis and Butt-head - that was LITERALLY the worst show ever thought up.
5. The Grinch - totally! :D
6. Fred and Barney -NO
7. Angelica Pickles - I hated the Rugrats.

Not in that order, but those are worth mentioning, i think the list should probably be a bit longer however.

oh yea these are some of the good ones, but they missed the smurfs and the snorkels, but i love them all except pokemon not a fan.
