ok. all those people who say that 15lbs is unrealistic, you are also saying that i should lose 2-3lbs a week. now, my math isn't great but isn't that still 8-12 lbs so its not that unrealistic. make up your minds.

There is no safe way for you to lose that much in that amount of time and if you did it would be water weight that would come RIGHT back on. Losing that much that fast could also cause metabolism issues that would make it even harder for you to lose weight or even maintain a healthy weight that you liked.

So, my suggestion to help you lose about 8 to 10 pounds is to cut all your portions by 1/3. Get all the unecessary fats out of your diet like butter (you can buy a spray butter that has no calories to use on breads, etc) Don't drink your calories! Sodas, coffees with flavor or cream are bad, even juices are a bad way to go when trying to lose weight, they are high in sugar and calories. And alcohol is the worst as far as calories go.

Go for foods that are low calorie, low fat, and high fiber. Drink diet drinks/soda and lots of water.

The most important thing is to NOT skip meals!!! Eat breakfast within 30 minutes of waking up and eat small amounts every 4 hours throughout the day. I use a dessert plate or saucer for my meals rather than a regular plate, it keeps my portions under control. Also remember that everything you eat counts! So no "tasting" while you are preparing your foods! All those little bites add up.

Continue with your regular exercise but simply adding as little as 10 minutes and changing around the routine a little each day will give you a boost also. Often when we do the same routine each day the body becomes accustomed to it and it will not work as well. Try adding something fun, if you can just do some silly dancing when you are home alone! That will get you laughing and help burn calories!

A sample of what I would eat when I am trying to lose would be:

Breakfast: slice of whole wheat bread with 1 tablespoon light cream cheese, 1/2 cup of fresh blueberries and 1/2 cup of light soymilk

snack: 1 cup raw veggies, fat free yogurt, one piece of candy

lunch: BLT, (small whole wheat tortilla, 2 slices bacon blotted VERY well to make sure the grease is all gone, lettuce and tomatoes) a salad with that new spray on salad dressing (usually just lettuce, tomatoes and mushrooms) 1/2 orange and a piece of candy

snack: apple

dinner: 3 ounces of chicken marinated in teryiaki sauce, one cup of brown rice (cooked without butter) steamed broccoli (as much as you like) to season the rice, I place the chicken on top of it while I cut it up, that lets the juices give the rice some flavor without needing butter.

dessert: 1 cup of lowfat vanilla ice cream

I will vary the dinner menu but stick pretty tightly to the rest of the foods for a couple of weeks, it works every time for me! I lose about 2 or 3 pounds a week.

Good luck!

I'm almost on the same plan except I wanna lose even more than that...hmm no just about 15 lbs like you by end of august... what I do is speed walk o the treadmill for an hour non-stop (play nice music to keep you going and move on their fast beats to have fun!)... then do 10 minutes cycling..

Generally... just try to have a variety in what you do with your muscles so that it is new for your body and loses weight faster. If you do the same routine..it will also be routine for your body and it will not find it that hard anymore to lose weight no matter how much effort you put in it.

Ofcourse eat well...you're already doing that so perferct...I would stick to fruits int he morning or juice, grills for lunch and maybe soup or simply fruit again for dinner (before 8pm - don't eat after that). Snacks are also essential... healthy ones...

God I wrote too much!
Good luck hun:)

For the next three weeks, abstain from white bread, alcohol and sugary and fatty foods. Eat fresh fruits and vegetables, lean meats, and drink lots of water - not soft drinks or even most fruit juices (loaded with sugar). Continue with your exercise program and get a full 8 hours of sleep at night. You may not lose all 15 pounds by that date, but you should be well on your way to your ideal weight and getting healthier every day. Incidentally, I'm 5"4", weigh 120 pounds and my doctor and my mirror tell me that that is about my ideal weight. Good luck!

It is nice to see that you have exercise weaved into your lifestyle. Loosing weight is not about some great diet or weight-loss program, it is a complete shift in your mindset, it is a lifestyle. There are so many things that play a role in weight-loss, like metabolism and the different types of food you eat. If you are looking for something to help you why don’t you get yourself the following e-book: http://www.liafin.co.za/burnthefat.htm This is not an instant success program, but more a philosophy about changing your lifestyle to loose weight and achieve better fitness levels.

You're trying to lose a lot of weight in a very short time. First off, only lose the weight in a healthy manner that you can maintain for the rest of your life. Try adding new elements to your exercise routine (such as try swimming, jogging, hiking, playing soccer, etc). Before you eat next time, think about this: am I eating this for the nourishment of the food or simply the taste of it? If you answered the second one, don't eat it.

Oh my God me too I'm not overweight either I'd love to lose just a few pound about 15 too and I can't the only thing that worked for me was Weight Watchers believe it or not it works if you go by their points, I work out every day with my husband and eat healthy no junk food no soda... and still stuck but weight watchers worked that or try lowering your calorie intake, drink lots of water, and work out harder do cardio and burn more calories good luck

Yes, purpose to lose one million to three lbs per week. Eat 3 healthful rectangular foods an afternoon and snack with culmination or veggies among foods. Eating some thing each and every 3 hours fuels the metabolism and maintains the blood sugar up.

Have you tried getting a wrap? It takes all of your excess water weight out of your body.

If not, try to increase your water intake and make sure you still get in about six meals a day to boost your metabolism. Drink 64 ounces of water and each healthy meals. Don't let yourself get hungry. When your stomach starts to growl, feed it. When you don't, your body fights against you by storing your fat because it does not know when it will be able to eat again, so it is holding onto the fat just in case. This causes you to gain and/or maintain your weight rather than loose.

Best of luck to you.

August 27th is past, I'm rather sure you didn't loose the
weight you wanted to, do you still have a need to lose weight?
If you do, a steam cabinet daily along with a sensible diet can
still trim off pounds quickly.
Also, 'speed walk' every time you need to walk.

drink lots of water, and water only. Whey you are eating, just eat enough that your not hungry. You will eat prob. around 5 times a day other than the normal 3. but don't eat near as much, just enough to get by. but by no means, don't starve yourself. Your body will burn the food off alot faster and you will lose weight, call me crazy, but it worked for me.
